Biography
Daniel Peebles was born and raised in Excelsior Minnesota, a small lakeside community outside Minneapolis. He is a fine art photographer who also creates commissioned works for editorial and advertising clients. His photographs are highly theatrical. Peebles' directorial style is indicative of the influence film-making has had upon him, as well as existenialist, "dirty realist", and crime fiction writings.
Peebles' photographs have been shown in galleries and museums internationally, and are in numerous permanent collections, such as, Los Angeles County Museum, Arizona State University Art Museum, Musee Nicephore Niepce, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe. He resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
